Engagement Photos at Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park
Today I arranged to meet the couple at Prembroke Lodge in Richmond park to do their engagement photos. I have to say this was our second attempt at doing this photo shoot, as the previous one had to be called off on account of the terrible weather. To say the heavens opened was an understatement. The sky was black with heavy rain clouds that were doing their best to interrupt the photo shoot. The couple were great and decided to soldier on through the poor weather. They had a great attitude and decided fun and laughter was the best way to overcome the terrible weather.
The Grounds around Pembroke lodge was the stage for these engagement photos, and we were also scouting for the best locations and backdrops to do the wedding photos in a few weeks time. The views over the Surrey hills were nowhere to be seen through the dark clouds, so we decided to use the main building and gardens as backdrops. This was largely successful, as it gave the couple a brief shelter from the lashing rain!!
Despite the weather we all had a fun time, and was a great opportunity to put the wedding photographer under pressure!! Oh how envious I am of the American photographers in California with the perfect light they have on all those sunny days!!!
